Anonymous said:Whoa I literally never realized until now that non-book readers wouldn’t be able to realize staright away that Peeta was the one who painted Rue whoa my life is a lieAnonymous said:Yup, none of my non-reader friends or siblings initially realized that peeta painted the portrait of rue. They thought it was placed there by the Capitol to faze katniss, which is prob a valid assumption actually. His ability to see, pick out, and replicate beauty as well as capture things as they are is very important to his character IMO. I guess we’ll find out how they approach it in these next two movies. My sister was also confused. She asked because she wasn’t sure how it got there, so I whispered that Peeta did it and then she was even more confused, thinking he did it for nefarious reasons (against Katniss) or something, so I had to try and explain it to her in the middle of the movie because she wouldn’t quit asking me why he did it.
Peeta was in there. He went ahead of Katniss. She’s going in as he’s going out. Of course Peeta painted Rue. Who else would have. The jars of paint with brushes is still near the painting. The non book readers might be confused why he did it at first. Katniss gets mad though. She goes from tears in her eyes to anger. Peeta saw how upset Katniss was about Rue at the victory tour stop in district 11.
